Excursion to Cappadocia

1 day – Departure by flight Sofia-Nevsehir at 3:30 p.m. Arrival at Nevsehir Airport. Welcome by a representative of the partner company. Transfer to the selected hotel. At 18:30 informational meeting with the tourists in the hotels where they are staying. Overnight stay.

Day 2 – Balloon flight over the rock formations of Cappadocia (optional and for an additional fee) – one of a kind in the world over a unique landscape. At 05:00 in the morning transfer from the hotel to the balloon station. Early coffee/tea or light breakfast, introduction to the crew and preparation for balloon ascent, boarding in spacious, secured baskets and a one-hour unique flight between and over bizarre rock formations. After the flight, each participant receives a named certificate, champagne and souvenir photos (for an additional fee).
Return transfer to the hotel. Time for breakfast in the restaurant between 07:00 – 09:00 Free time or full day additional program as desired.

Visit to Ortahisar City Panorama. Its founder is St. Nino, whose parents were one of the first Christian settlers in the area in the 4th century. We head to Goreme - an open-air museum included in the UNESCO list. This is the site with the most preserved frescoes, the earliest of which dates back to the 7th century. (According to local legend, there were 365 churches in this place - 1 for each day of the year, but today about 30 are open to visit). Here you will be able to see the memorable wall paintings of saints, the royal images of Jesus and the Virgin Mary.

Chavushin - one of the oldest fortresses of the Hittites, which time has changed and destroyed. We will tell you the story of its discovery for Europe at the beginning of the 18th century by a French explorer. Time for impressions and photos.

Visit to Avanos - a charming town located on both banks of the longest river flowing entirely in Turkey - the "Red River". For these lands, ceramic extraction and production is one of the main crafts to this day. We will witness the entire process of creating a clay product - from mixing the clay to its firing. You will have the opportunity for one of you - if you wish - to try your skills in shaping the clay. At the end - we will visit the company store and you will have the opportunity to buy wonderful handmade products that will take your breath away.

The excursion continues to Pashabag (Pasha's Vineyard) – another open-air museum that, in addition to the magnificent Chimneys of the Spirits, also shows the traditions of people from different eras to plant and grow local vineyards. The taste of wine in Cappadocia leaves a slightly tart taste.

After lunch we head to the Valley of Love. This is where rock formations add romance and tenderness. It is believed that single visitors find their life partner within a year of their visit. You can write down and pin your wish to the Wish Tree.

Another valley is included in our program, namely the Valley of Fantasy. Shaped by climatic influences - wind, rain, erosion, this valley offers wonderful rock figures and images. We will show the more famous ones, you will show us new ones - according to you.
